Rositsa Dusheva

Bulgarian pianist Rositsa Dusheva, born in 1982 is an experienced concert performer particularly acclaimed for her performance of Chopin and Debussy.
Rositsa's most recent prizes include: First Medal at the "Concours de Piano de Brest (Chopin Category)" France-2006; Second prize at the "UFAM Concours Internationaux d'Instruments (duo Honneur)" France-2006.
Rositsa is a winner of 'Arthur and Gwyneth Harrison Professional Development Programme' for 2005-2006, organized by Making Music Societies, UK.
She was awarded the 'Scheuring Trust' for 2006-2007 (France) to study with professor Nelson Delle-Vigne Fabri at 'Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris Alfred Cortot'.
Rositsa had performed in her first solo concert by the age of six and entered the 'Pancho Vladigerov School of Music' (Bulgaria) in the class of Elena Peeva. During this period she participated in concerts organized by the State and won many prizes in International competitions including: First prize at the “5° Concorso Internazionale di Musica, Citta di Tortona” (Italy) 1995; Third prize at the “International Piano Competition Koshice”, (Slovakia) 1995; Fourth prize at the “International Steinway Concour”, Paris (1997); Special prize at the “Quatriéme Concours International de Piano-Albert Roussel”, Sofia, (Bulgaria) 2000 and others.
One year after her degree at the 'Pancho Vladigerov School of Music' Rositsa was offered a place for a Masters Degree in solo piano and full scholarship at the 'Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama' in the class of Professor Fali Pavri. Whilst there she was awarded the following prizes: The John Ireland Prize (2003); The Peter Lindsay Miller prize (2003) and the prestigious A. Ramsay Calder Debussy prize for solo piano (2003).
Rositsa had performed in many International Festivals including 'German-Austrian Festival of Music', Bulgaria 1994, 95, 97; She had performed at the P.Vladigerov National Festival, which was broadcasted live on the National Bulgarian TV and radio. She was a prize winner of the International festival for French Music, Bulgaria-1998, also a prize winner of the International Festival for Young Performers, Bulgaria-2003.Most recently she was invited to take part in the 6° Europeen Jeunes Talents, Paris-2006 and The Paris International Summer Sessions-2007.
